1. What’s the deal with this extra $57,000 you’ve been talking about?

According to the Business Week 2007 Undergrad Business School Report, the top 3 undergrad Business Programs in the country were The Wharton School at U Penn, The McIntire School of Commerce at UVA and The Haas School of Business at UC Berkley.

Average tuition for these programs was $25,591.67 per year.

The programs take an average of 4 years to complete.

The average student loan debt among grads was $15,796.00.

And the average earnings of grads from those 3 programs was $56,678.34.

We figured if that’s what you could expect to make after 4 years of school then going to work for someone else, with the team and program we’ve put together, and the motivation you’ll have to do it for YOURSELF rather than an employer, that same $56,678.34 is VERY REASONABLE in the next year.

That said there WILL be live group Q&A calls with a business advisor twice a month where you can ask questions and get help - as well as the opportunity to attend an intensive live “on campus” training next year (the live event is of course optional - not mandatory for your success).

4. With the 6 core courses, the info from the guest professors, the library materials and everything else you’ve been talking about, it seems like there is a TON of information in the school - will I get overwhelmed with information overload?

We’re doing out best to keep that from happening. When you first come into the school you’ll decide which of the 6 areas of focus you feel is MOST important for your business RIGHT NOW - we’ll give you some recommendations, but ultimately it’s your call. You will then “enroll” yourself in the course you’ve chosen to start with (don’t worry, all you have to do is push a button). Once you’re enrolled in that course, the other 5 will be “locked down” until you finish, or un-enroll yourself from the first course. That way everything is under your control, but with only making 1 course available at a time you can’t be doing too many things at once and getting yourself overwhelmed.

5. What does the motto on the school’s crest mean?

And no matter what it is, the first “anti-virals” will be ready on Tuesday – but I have to warn you, the recovery process is not a cake walk.

I’ve been there and am still working on some issues myself, and I know any successful person worth their “salt” would tell you the same thing.

We’ve all got years of negative programming and malignant beliefs running around in our heads.

And some people are even suffering in the advanced stages of Mental Cancer.

It takes time to get over it.

You see, I was probably a lot like you when I started out.

I had a RAGING case of the Virulent Freedom Virus, among others, and had bought into one of the biggest Myths that virus propagates – you know the one – “Go to School, Get Good Grades, Get a Good Job, Live the Good Life…”

Yeah… Right.

Can you relate…?

Ric and I worked our butts off to get through school so we could “get that good job.” Ric even got a Masters Degree in addition to his Bachelors to ensure his success.

I finished my undergraduate degree, Cum Laude , with a Major in International Relations, double minors in European History and Social Science Education – in 3 years not 4.

AND we paid for the education ourselves – or should I say we’re STILL paying for the education ourselves…

The kicker was when we graduated with a Mt. Everest of Debt, our job prospects weren’t all that great – there certainly weren’t any “live the good life” type jobs out there.

And I was ^&%%#@ off – felt betrayed by the whole system – like so many other people who’ve bought into that load of crap.

At the time Ric and I were expecting our first child and I didn’t want to go back to working someplace like Wal-Mart, like we did in college, and I couldn’t see putting my newborn in daycare 12 hours a day so I could go work for peanuts at the State Department or in some entry level corporate gig.

Ric found a full-time job with a small tech-company, but the “family” was still only bringing in a whopping $28,000 a year.

After a combined 9 YEARS in college and over $100K in education debt, we were making frickin’ $28,000 a year!!!

Now I don’t know about you, but my version of “the good life” costs just a LITTLE bit more than $28K a year – and it requires actually seeing my husband every once in a while : ).

Ric was working like a dog leaving before the sun came up and getting home after dark.

I was at home with a newborn desperately trying to figure out what to do with our lives and wondering when the “good” part was supposed to kick in.

Doesn’t sound like “Go to School, Get Good Grades, Get a Good Job, Live the Good Life” to me…

I mean – just look at the numbers…

According to the Business Week 2007 Undergraduate Business School Report, the top 3 undergrad Business Programs in the country were The Wharton School at U Penn, The McIntire School of Commerce at UVA and The Haas School of Business at UC Berkley.

Average tuition for these programs was $25,591.67 per year, for 4 years.

That’s a total investment of $102,366.68 .

Average earnings of the grads from those 3 programs were $56,678.34 a year…

That’s 2 TIMES what Ric and I were making, but STILL, not “good life” material as far as I’m concerned…

And then once you’ve earned your $57K paycheck for the year, you’ve got to go back to the same job with the same politics and do it all over again next year – still working for someone else – where’s the freedom in that?!?!?

Now we weren’t so different from your “NORMAL” college graduates (except for a 10-year difference is starting salaries)…

And we’re not so very different from most people who want to start a business either…

We wanted more from life than the regular 9 to 5 grind with a 401K and 2 weeks off a year. We wanted Financial FREEDOM and control over our lives!

You can relate right?

So that’s when I started my first “successful” business – we’d dabbled a lot in college but nothing had really worked.

We had our first taste of true freedom and wanted more…

Ric left the corporate world for self-employment a few years later as well.

And we’ve never looked back.

But it certainly wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine.

We had a lot of challenges along the way and some absolutely horrendous “learning experiences” – most of which can be traced back either to Mind Viruses and the beliefs and myths that were protecting them or to a complete lack of business education.

But we’ve conquered the worst of the Mind Viruses, though we have to be careful to keep inoculating ourselves – they’re persistent little buggers – and we’ve had quite the education in the Business School of Hard Knocks .

Now we live the lifestyle of our dreams, doing what we want pretty much when we want, going on really cool trips to exotic places all over the world, and spending quality time with family and friends (that picture is of our 2 boys Chandler and Stefan, last Halloween) . And we have successful businesses that make a real difference in the world.

And you know, that’s all well and good, but the NEXT step is what’s REALLY exciting.

Now that Ric and I have beaten back the Mind Viruses and learned how to create success, we can duplicate it and the monetary gains over and over again to create our REAL vision.

THAT’S true FREEDOM.

I mean living in a beautiful home, taking exotic trips, and never worrying about the prices on the right hand side of the menu is fantastic, and that was a major goal of ours for a long time.

But it’s the Absolute Freedom – the ability to do what you want, when you want, with whomever you want that is REALLY amazing.

But it’s not MY freedom that’s important here.

It’s YOUR Success, YOUR Financial Freedom, YOUR Story we’re concerned with …

And THAT’S why Ric and I founded the New Order Business School (NO BS for short <g>)…

We all want it, but so few of us have it…

So what’s the REAL deal?

You’ve heard about these “new” viruses right?

I’m NOT talking about computer viruses.

And, I’m NOT talking about physical viruses like Ebola or AIDS.

I’m talking about a totally different type of “virus.”

A virus you won’t hear about from Microsoft or the Centers for Disease Control

One that won’t be the big headline on the evening news any time soon

That’s because this “virus” isn’t on your hard drive, and it won’t show up in a blood test

This virus is hiding somewhere most people will never find it…

It’s inside your mind…

The virus I’m talking about is something called a “Mind Virus.”

“MIND VIRUS - Any of various extremely pervasive, often dis-ease-causing agents consisting of a thought, containing a mental program within a protective coat often known as a belief. (p. 1, PANDEMIC – Bird Flu of the Mind)

But that title is a bit misleading… because there isn’t just ONE Mind Virus—there are many of them.

And if you aren’t seeing the success in business you KNOW you are capable of, then chances are, you are suffering from one of them.

Don’t worry; you’re not really in physical danger.

That’s because the “Mind Viruses” probably won’t affect your body – at least not directly…

They do something much more destructive.

Left unchecked, the Virus will replicate itself, eventually causing “terminal” mental cancer. [That doesn’t mean you’ll die physically, but your hopes and dreams do, you enter a state we refer to as “living death” (see p. 2, PANDEMIC – Bird Flu of the Mind for the specifics).]

Basically Mind Viruses will steal your Dreams, your Financial Future…

Your Freedom…

It wouldn’t matter if I had all the available “dirt” on my competitors…

It wouldn’t matter if I busted my ass, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, for the next 5 years straight…!

Because as long as these damned things were my head I would find a way to sabotage myself, snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, and generally continue to screw up my life.”

But people infected with Mind Viruses usually KNOW. They may not know exactly WHAT they are infected with, but they know SOMETHING is holding them back. (Again, get the report if you want the full details…)

So if you think you might be infected take a few minutes and go through the following exercise. Identify the major things you feel are standing in your way, in your business, in your overall success in general, in your pursuit of financial and emotional freedom. Identify the things that are holding you back, because THEY are your indicators of the negative Mind Viruses.

Is there anything currently in your life that could prevent, or make more difficult, the realization of your dreams for a successful business, financial freedom, or whatever it is that you desire most in life? (This might include poor habits, unsupportive relationships, clutter, doubt, and so forth.) What do you feel keeps you away from living your vision? What do you feel is standing in your way? List everything you can think of.

Save the list you create – put it in a safe place near your computer, because later we’re going to start pulling it apart and digging at the roots of your Mind Viruses.

I call it the Pollyanna Myth (remember the little girl played by Hayley Mills who was perpetually “Glad” regardless of what was going on around her? My mother loved that film and even as a kid it irritated the living crap out of me – but that’s another story all together <g> ).

The Pollyanna Myth is truly an ugly one and here’s how it came up…

You see, most of the feedback we’ve been getting to the Hollywood Myths Report has been extremely positive, but we’ve had a few people who are all up in arms.

Now I don’t usually let that bother me, but what really struck me was that these people all have basically the same gripe.

Here’s a quote from one of the emails we’ve been receiving that pretty much sums up the gist of all those who don’t like it…

“This promotion… reeks of victim mentality, it’s tone is very negative and blaming… and the message in which (you) delivered it is uninspiring. (It) is the antithesis of being empowered and taking responsibility for our lives.”

Right.

Now everyone is entitled to their opinion and when you get in people’s faces with stuff like we did, you’re bound to tick a few people off.

What really gets to me though is the idea that people really and truly believe you have to be happy, positive, and upbeat all the time.

As if…

I’m calling a GREAT BIG B.S. on that one.

Now you probably know I’m the creator and co-founder of Healthy Wealthy nWise Magazine. And since it’s the largest online self growth magazine in the world, you could say I’m pretty well entrenched in the business of the Personal Development world.

I believe your personal development (without the capital P and D) is vitally important to the success of your business and in turn your ability to create the life you desire, but when anything becomes a multi-billion dollar industry a lot of crap, half-truths, and misinformation starts floating around and you have to be careful…

And the flavor of the month right now in Personal Development could pretty well be summed up as, “don’t worry be happy.”

Now I’ve got no problem with people being happy – in fact that’s what we’re all about – helping people create the freedom to live the lives of their dreams – sounds like Happy to me….

What I DO have a problem with is the idea that “positive thinking” regardless of what you’re feeling and experiencing is the key to that happiness.

You know what – if you’re feeling crappy, frustrated, and confused – thinking of fluffy bunnies, butterflies, and rainbows, just “ain’t gonna cut it…”

That’s masking the problem or sweeping it under the rug, and since when is THAT empowering?!?

That’s like having a water stain on your ceiling from a roof leak and thinking you’re fixing the problem by putting a coat of paint on it. Yeah you can’t see the stain anymore, but the problem is still there and it’s getting worse!!

You need to get to the root of the problem, dig it out, and transform it if you want to make real and lasting change.

But that doesn’t sound “nice” or “inspiring” – it sounds like work. And it is.

But dammit we all know that’s how the world works and it really !$%#@% me off when people try to say differently…

You may know that Ric and I were out in California back in March meeting with Chris and Janet, our partners in Healthy Wealthy nWise.

Well when we were out there, Janet and I were filmed for a movie that is in production to be an empowerment piece for women. When I got there, they told me one of the “vows” that the women who watch this movie will be taking to move them forward in life is, “to always be positive…”

I just about choked on my $8.00 bottle of water <g> .

When I got in front of the camera, they asked me what one of the most important pieces of advice I could give to women was.

This is pretty much what I said and it goes for Men, Women, and Children…

“There are a lot of people out there who are trying to tell you your negative emotions are bad and your positive emotions are good, and you should try to stomp out one and nurture the other.

“It’s bogus!

“Emotions are your guidance system - they aren’t good or bad.
